ABIC Agricultural Council
When we stand with America’s agricultural producers and farms, we secure America’s future.
America’s farms are facing a labor crisis. They nourish the nation and they strengthen our rural communities.
Supporting American farmers means ensuring they have access to a stable, legal, and highly skilled workforce needed to keep their businesses running.
Voters Support Work Permits for Trusted Workers
83% of voters in key battleground states agree with President Trump that long term, trusted undocumented immigrants should be able to get a work permit and stay:

Workforce shortages are threatening farms across America.
The ABIC Agricultural Council is leading efforts to bring labor stability for America’s food producers.
Our Goal
American farmers take great pride in the work they do.
Today, one of their greatest challenges is the lack of a secure workforce. Growing labor shortages and increased enforcement are leaving farmers without the law-abiding, hard-working, long-term immigrant workers who have powered America’s food system for decades — putting farms, rural economies, and America’s food security at risk.
Farmers already do everything they can to follow the law and verify legal status, but current policy still leaves them without the stable, legal workforce needed to run their operations.
Agriculture depends on labor that operates around the clock — from milking cows at dawn to harvesting crops at dusk. Most agriculture openings go unfilled for months – 70 percent of agricultural workers are foreign-born.
Any disruption in this workforce has immediate and costly consequences for producers, consumers, and our national food supply, affecting every American who relies on the food grown on these farms.
The ABIC Agricultural Council brings together industry leaders with bipartisan lawmakers to find solutions like legal work permits for hard-working, law-abiding, tax-paying immigrants that keep America’s farms running and our food supply secure.
